- Süre: 60 Saat (Tahmini)
Previous knowledge needed: -
You will have completed the RYA Dayskipper Theory course or have the equivalent level of theory knowledge.
What will I learn?
Following on from the RYA Dayskipper Theory course, this is an advanced navigation course that will cover all the theory required to Yachtmaster standard. This course will include meteorology, collision regulations as well as advanced chart work and vessel stability. It will teach you the collision regulations for night sailing, passage planning and pilotage techniques to get you in and out of harbours at night. You should have completed day skipper theory before you start Coastal / Yachtmaster theory or have equivalent knowledge
Even if you have a lot of practical experience with sailing this course can be very difficult if you do not have a reasonable knowledge of chart-work to Day Skipper level.
At the end of the course you will have covered the navigation skills required to enter coastal ports by day or night and to undertake coastal passages in variable weather conditions. The course will take about 60 hours of online home study with an online assessment at the end.
